Pune is well connected by air, rail and road to most of the cities in India. The airport is located in Lohegaon. All domestic airlines operate direct and connecting flights from Pune to almost all the cities in India. When arriving by train or bus, you can alight at either Pune Junction (main railway station and bus stand) or at Shivajinagar station / bus stand. Another option, particularly for delegates, is to travel to Mumbai and then take a taxi, bus or train to Pune.
From the Mumbai airport, take a taxi to Pune (Cool cabs for example). One can also go to the Mumbai CST station and take a train to Pune. Deccan Queen, Deccan Express, Indrayani, Pragati and Shatabdi are the regular trains that run between Pune and Mumbai everyday. It takes nearly 4-5 hours. Tickets may be booked in advance through the Indian Railways website. One can also travel from Dadar, Thane or Borivali by a Volvo bus to Pune which can cost between Rs. 450/- to 500/-.for each passenger.
